The ArmA - League! PvP Section

We are an ArmA2 league.

Looking back in time, ArmA2 league has its roots in the former OFP Bundesliga. The community of players was already then very active and we saw some great games and great clans. The first Armed Assault game saw a continuing league activity and many clans faced the challenge to compete again. To keep the tradition alive our ambition is now to continue with our glorious history of high quality clanwars in our ArmA2 league.

The system of the ArmA - League

The system of the league is closely related to the setup of the German Bundesliga (German football league). There is a defined game schedule with a first and second round of games. Every game day has a predetermined map that will be played by the clans in 2 x 45 min. To guarantee an exciting game the team size is set to a minimum of 5 players; if the clans agree they can use more players per side also.

To allow for some flexibility within the fixed shcedule each 'game day' last actually 1 whole week. Within this timeframe the clans have to play their scheduled game.

There are many different maps and no game day is like any other. Some of the concepts are AL Capture and Hold, Capture and Hold Frontline, Capture and Hold Domination and AAS . There are more then 20 different maps.
To make sure the game days are played at the same level the league follows a point systems based on percentage values. Before the season starts the maps that will be played are voted for by all participating clans.

League specials

Two non-clan players can participate as referees in each game. Each team should name two players to fill this function. Those players will be given a special squad.xml and they can lead each game as admins. Of course games can be played without this admin function, naming the referees and administrating matches is voluntarily.

Conditions and participation

A team that wants to be part of the league must fulfill the following conditions:
  • team/clan must have its own game server.
  • team/clan must have a working home page.
  • team/clan must have at least 6 active players.
  • team/clan must have a working squad.xml including clan logo for all players.
  • tam/clan must be signed up at the AL homepage.

It is expected that all teams show fairness and treat each other with respect; this applies as well to the referees and the league admins and especially also in the league forums!

Each team/clan that is interested in participation in ArmA - League can join. Several clans can form their own team, but the rules still apply in regards to home page and clan server.
